Art Openings and Events Abound in Brooklyn this Weekend

This weekend is sure to invigorate your art senses, and these breezy days make visits to local favorites a thrill.  Starting this evening, Brooklyn is hosting an active Fall schedule of openings, events and festivals.

Our WAGMAG team has prepared a checklist of openings and events to visit, so get out and see some ART!

 Friday night kicks off the DUMBO Arts Festival, a 3 day celebration of the arts.  Visual displays illuminate the night and engaging exhibitions, performances and art events fill the streets in DUMBO.  For a full schedule of events and listings for the DUMBO Arts Festival visit: dumboartsfestival.com While in DUMBO be sure and visit the Brooklyn Arts Council Gallery for Abby Goodman's site-specific installation, "The Wishing Tree" and Giacobetti Paul Gallery for Katerina Marcelja's "Wet Wings and Wooden Sails"

"Monochrome" Nurture Art Gallery

Friday evening holds many options of openings and events around the borough.  There is a performance at Regina Rex Gallery, 8pm Friday in which they present: "Emerson Takes a Walk: Self Reliance." . In Bed-Stuy, Tomato House opens Friday night 7-10pm with Annie Pearlman's "Close to Everything." . Agape in Bushwick's 56 Bogart building presents a performance by Johnathan Van Dyke Friday evening from 6-9pm.  Also at 56 Bogart, Nurture Art opens Scott Lawrence's solo exhibition, "Monochrome" Friday 7-9. More to do and see throughout the weekend:
