First Thursday Gallery Walk and Openings in DUMBO

Tomorrow is DUMBO's First Thursday Gallery Walk, with participating galleries open late.  This Thursday DUMBO galleries and shops will offer a festive evening sure to satiate your appetite for art! 

Bose Pacia will be hosting a closing reception for Jaret Vadera's exhibition from 6-9pm 

The Sculptors Guild participates with Martha Walker's exhibition open from 6-9pm.  

A.I.R. Gallery opens three new exhibitions: Jeanette May in gallery I with a series of photographs entitled "Bachelor Pads," Jane Swavely in A.I.R.'s Gallery II, featuring pasel drawings and oil paintings of vibrant and visceral landscapes.  A.I.R.'s Fellowship Gallery opens Annie Ewaskio's "Futurescapes," a series of colorful and luminous paintings which depict nonexistent places, there will be an artist talk with Annie Ewakio at 6pm. 

Amos Eno Gallery opens "Hey Beautiful!" an exhibition which inquires into the role of beauty in art now. Featuring: Vika Adutova, Jennie B.ooth, Annie Kyle, Midori Okuyama, Zoë Williams, Siang-Jen Yang. 

Giacobetti Paul Gallery opens Josh Alexander's "Inward" with an artist reception from 6-9pm In his latest exhibition, "Inward," Alexander presents a visual narrative of human emotions through the use of color, texture and shapes. The show will include several series of work, including collections of emotions, scars, and abstract figures. 

Triangle Arts Association hosts "Painting Today" a discussion mediated by KarenWilkin. Beginning at 8pm Karen Wilkin will lead an open forum discussion with participating artists, Andrea Belag, Matt Blackwell, Gregory Forstner, Jill Nathanson and Larry Poons on the topic of “Painting Today.”
