Start Your Weekend in Brooklyn

Hector Canonage at Grace Exhibition Space
The Fall Art Season continues this weekend with many new exhibitions opening throughout Brooklyn.  Be sure not to miss "SculpturalTextsIgnition " featuring the OUI Performance group with Victoria Gray and Nathan Walker, and Hector Canonage at Grace Exhibition Space this Friday from 8:30 - 11pm (840 Broadway 2nd Floor.)   Hector Canonge explores the traditional Spanish saying “Hombre de pelo en pecho” which refers to the archetypes of the macho man. Victoria Gray and Nathan Walker are visiting artists from York, England.  Victoria's anagrammatic texts reference the artists Carl Andre and Ana Mendieta, while Nathan creates texts through actions.
Momenta, newly located in Bushwick at 56 Bogart Street will be presenting live performances by "Mobility" on Sunday, from 3-6.  The works from Mobility's exhibition will be taken out into the community for manned performances.
