This Weekend: Art in Brooklyn

This weekend in Brooklyn, there are many exciting new shows opening. You can start the afternoon in Red Hook, "Wide Open 2" BWAC's second national art show opens Saturday from 1-6pm and features the work of over 150 artists, be sure also not to miss the "Affordable Art Wall," where all pieces are $1000 and under! (BWAC: 76 Degraw St.) Also on Saturday in Red Hook, Kentler Artist Space will be hosting an artist talk with Arezoo Moseni in conjunction with their current exhibition. In Sunset Park 210 Gallery opens "Kill the Magician" by James T. Greco, Saturday Afternoon from 3-7." (210 Gallery: 210 24th Street)

Saturday evening in Williamsburg, Graphite opens: “Whirl and Swallow” which presents Japanese-born artist Tomoko Sugimoto’s latest stitch and paint works on canvas.(Graphite: 38 Marcy Avenue, from 6-9.) Be sure and visit Art101 for the opening of "Williamsburg2000, " an exhibition curated by Larry Walczak, which shows a collection of Brooklyn-based visual artists whom Walczak curated in various exhibitions in the years 1997 through 2002.
